Professional Training Module

The Professional Resource Manual includes the "Professional Training Module." The "Professional Training Module" can be viewed in Microsoft PowerPoint* as a PowerPoint presentation, or as a color or black & white transparency set available for downloading as self-extracting Zip files. Choose the format you prefer, and download to your local hard drive. Double-click the file to launch the extraction of the file.

Please refer to your copy of the Professional Resource Manual for a copy of the training module which includes speaker's notes and assignment sheets. Representatives at the National Children's Center will be happy to assist you in any efforts to customize the training module. Please call the Center at 1-888-924-7233.

Several resources exist to prepare instructors to teach this material. At a minimum, instructors should read and clearly understand the Successful Farming article titled "Helping Kids do the Job Safely," the "Child Growth and Development" fact sheet and the NAGCAT Fact Sheet. Other key resources include the NAGCAT "Professional Resource Manual," the NAGCAT illustrated posters, and a four minute introductory video. Instructors can call the National Children's Center for a free copy of the video.

PowerPoint Viewers are available as a free download from Microsoft for anyone who does not have a copy of PowerPoint. Download either the 32-bit PowerPoint Viewer (Win 95/98/NT) or the Macintosh PowerPoint Viewer.
